My client came to me wanting to update his home and most significantly to add a cigar room. Wood floors were darkened in the living room, den and entryway; sophisticated custom curtains and contemporary shades were hung in the dining room, kitchen and bedrooms; chocolate brown soft leather Roman shades were designed to highlight the masculinity of the cigar room; walls were painted throughout the house in shades of taupe; colorful lighting was hung in the kitchen; chic carpets were strategically placed in the living room, den, stairway and bedrooms; a wet bar was designed in the cigar room with dark cabinetry, a copper sink and faucet and black iron fleur de lis accents; the cigar room was capped off with a chocolate brown leather punching bag and a functional antique telephone to fully turn it into a gentleman's paradise.
